Association of Australian Assistance Dogs (NQ) Inc.

The Association of Australian Assistance Dogs (NQ) Inc. [ASDOGS (NQ) Inc.] is an organization that trains Assistance Dogs to assist people with physical disabilities. Dogs are trained to standards set by Assistance Dogs International, the world body which supervises training of Assistance Dogs.

ASDOGS (NQ) Inc. also train Therapy Dogs for sufferers of brain injury through stroke, car accident, effects of chemotherapy, or other similar problems; Facility Dogs trained for aged care facilities and Seizure Alert Dogs for sufferers of varying types of seizures.

Seizure Alert Dogs are a new concept and methods for training them are in the early stages of development. All training is supervised by nationally recognized dog trainers and each dog receives up to 160 hours one-on-one training.

The organization serves anyone in Queensland who meets its strict suitability criteria.
