Disability Aid Dogs Limited (ABN 26 109 436 179) has branches in Cooloola, Ipswich and Nanango. Our mission: "To provide trained dogs for the disabled that are stable and safe in public environments."

These dogs can assist with mobility, assist with life's daily challenges, pick things up, assist with dressing and retrieve objects such as a purse or keys. The dogs can be trained to be seizure-alert or to remind the disabled about medications in much the same way as they remember their feed times.

We specialise in the intellectually handicapped, but do train dogs for the mobility impaired. We can also train an existing family pet as long as it meets our high intake standards. Application can be made via our web site, by mail or by fax.

The company operates nationally, having a team of volunteers who are mostly also disabled with an assistance dog, and knowing first hand the needs of the disabled. After ten years of operation, Disability Aid Dogs recently set up a Non Profit Australian Public Company that will now enable the organisation to be even more effective.
